Her robe is made of cloud,her face of flowers made,

Caressed by vernal breeze,freshened by morning dew.

Charming as FairyQ ueen in her Mountain of Jade

Or Goddess of the Moon in her palace sky-blue.

借问汉宫谁得似，

[3]飞燕：指汉成帝刘骜皇后赵飞燕。

[4]倚新妆：女子服饰艳丽、妆容精致的姣好姿态。

Li Bai

A branch of peony with her fragrance impearled,

Sweeter than Mountain Goddess bringing showers in dreams,

Unrivaled by the beauties of the ancient world,

Not even by Flying Swallow in her dress that gleams.

长得君王带笑看。

解释[3]春风[4]无限恨，

沉香亭北倚阑干。

注释：

[1]名花：牡丹花。

[2]倾国：出自汉李延年《佳人歌》：“一顾倾人城，再顾倾人国。”形容女子美貌惊人，此处指杨贵妃。

[3]解释：体会，了解到。

[4]春风：此处指唐玄宗。

Li Bai

The beauty gazes at the flower she admires,

Winning the monarch’s smiling gaze from hour to hour.

Gratifying Spring Wind’s insatiable desires,

She leans on balustrade north of the Fragrant Bower.
