南园春半踏青时，
风和闻马嘶。
青梅如豆柳如眉，

花露重，
草烟低，

秋千慵困解罗衣，
画堂双燕棲。

Green plums have become as large as peas;
Curved like women’s brows are willow trees.

Butterflies are flying, here and there.

Flowers are heavy with dew, as we pass.
A layer of mist spreading o’er grass.
Curtains o’er windows are closely drawn;
Girls have played on swings with vigor gone.

They have unloosened their silk garments,
Before they take a much-needed rest.
Up on the main beam are two swallows,
Roosting together in the same nest.
