山白鸟忽鸣，

石冷霜欲结。

流泉得月光，

化为一溪雪。

Fountain in Moonlight

Yuan Zhongdao

On whitened hills birds start their cries;

Congealed with cold, frost on rocks lies.

Steeped in moonlight, the fountains flow;

They turn into a stream of snow.
