舟中望月

庾信

舟子夜离家，

开舲[1]望月华。

山明疑有雪，

岸白不关沙。

天汉看珠蚌[2]，

星桥视桂花。

灰飞重晕阙[3]，

蓂[4]落独轮斜。

注释：

[1] 舲：有窗的小船，这里指船窗。

[2] 珠蚌：珍珠牡蛎的俗称。数种燕蛤属及珠母贝属的大的海洋双壳类软体动物之任一种，经常产生珍珠。这里比喻明月。

[3] 晕阙：昏眩，眼花。

[4] 蓂：传说中尧时的一种瑞草。亦称“历荚”。

The Moon Viewed from the Boat

Yu Xin

He views from his boat the moon bright.

The mountains seem covered with snow;

The sandy shores glitter and glow.

A brilliant pearl is born on high;

With flowers stars sprinkle the sky.

The halo fades around the moon;

Full, it begins to wane alone.
