五里滩头风欲平，

张帆举棹[2]觉船轻。

柔橹不施[3]停却棹——

是船行。

满眼风波多闪灼[4]，

看山恰似走来迎。

子细[5]看山山不动——

是船行。

[1]摊破浣溪沙：词牌名。

[2]张帆举棹：张起帆篷，打起船桨。棹，船桨。

[3]柔橹不施：橹桨也可以不用摇了。柔橹，一种用来拨水推动船前进的器具。施，使用。

[4]闪灼：水面上波光闪动的样子。

[5]子细：通“仔细”。

With sails unfurled, the boat seems light when we are rowing.

We use no scull and take our oars from water flowing,

But still the boat is going.

The water shimmers in the breeze before the eye;

As if to bid us welcome, the mountain comes nigh,

On a close look, it does not move but towers high:

The boat is going by.

This is another popular song unearthed at Dunhuang. It depicts the life and joy of a boatman.
