新竹

陆游[1]

插棘编篱[2]谨[3]护持[4]，

养成寒碧[5]映涟漪。

清风掠地[6]秋先到，

赤日[7]行天午[8]不知。

解箨[9]时闻声簌簌，

放梢[10]初见影离离[11]。

归闲我欲频[12]来此，

枕簟[13]仍教到处随。

注释：

[1] 陆游：南宋爱国诗人。《千家诗》注说：“首言初种竹时，编棘为篱以护之。培养已成，有寒碧涟漪映水之趣。风掠地而先来，枝之高也；日当午而不知，叶之密也。竹苞为箨，箨解而竹梢始放，其声簌簌，其影离离，洵可爱也。安得闲暇，频来此地，更携枕簟而偃我卧以玩之乎！”竹能化夏为秋，可见诗人之爱。

[13] 簟：轻便精巧的竹席。

New Bamboos

Lu You

I put a briar fence around the new bamboos,

Like emerald reflected on the rippling pool.

The fresh breeze brings the early autumn summer wooes;

The blazing sun hangs in the sky, yet I feel cool.

When the sprout sheds its sheath, it rustles in my ear;

With tips spread out, their shadows would dance with glee.

Retired, I would, at leisure, now and then come here;

Whérever I go, I’d bring pillow and mat with me.
