良辰美景换今古，

赏心乐事暗乘除。

人生四事[1]岂能无？

不可教轻辜负。

（I）Tune: Happy Three

Oh, lovely times and charming scenes change by and by;

Alas! the delights to the heart will pass away.

Man is fated to live, grow old, fall ill and die.

So let us make the most of each hour and each day!

（二）朝天子

唤取伴侣

正好向西湖路。

花前沉醉倒玉壶，

香嗡雾，红飞雨。

九十韶华，人间客寓[1]。

把三分分数数：

一分是流水，

二分是尘土，

不觉的春将暮[2]。

注释：

[1]人间客寓：形容人生就像在世上做客。

[2]把三分分数数：一分是流水，二分是尘土，不觉的春将暮：化用宋代苏轼《水龙吟》词句：“春色三分，二分尘土，一分流水。”

（II）Tune: Skyward Song

O call a friend

And go on our way to West Lake today!

Let us drink up the pot of jade to the end!

Fragrant mist spread,

Petals fall red.

Even if you can live to ninety years,

The world still like an inn appears.

Count the three spring graces like dreams:

One-third passes with flowing streams;

Two-thirds with the dust.

Without our knowledge spring will pass in a gust.

（三）四换头

西园杖履，

望眼无穷恨有余。

飘残香絮，

歌残白苎[1]。

海棠花底鹧鸪，

杨柳梢头杜宇，

都唤取春归去。

注释：

[1]白苎：苎麻，多年生草本植物。

（III）Tune: Change of Tunes

In the west garden, cane in hand,

With endless grief I gaze into the far-off land.

Dancers are gone with fragrant willow down;

Songstress tired in her white silk gown.

Under crabapple flowers partridges cry;

Over willow tops cuckoos fly.

All call spring back and say “Goodbye!”
