水流花谢两无情，

送尽东风过楚城。

胡蝶梦[2]中家万里，

子规枝上月三更。

故园书动[3]经年[4]绝，

华发春唯满镜生。

自是不归归便得，

五湖烟景[5]有谁争。

注释：

[1]春夕：暮春时节。

[2]胡蝶梦：泛指梦境。

[3]动：动不动。

[4]经年：经过一年或一年以上的时间。

[5]烟景：湖上的风光。

Cui Tu

The river waves are as heartless as fallen flowers,

The Southern town says adieu to the vernal breeze.

The butterfly can’t bring my dream to my homeland bowers,

The cuckoos shed their midnight tears from moonlit trees.

No letter comes from my kinsfolk throughout the year,

The white hair grown on my forehead shows age awake.

If I would go home,there I could appear.

Who could deprive me of the delight on the Lake?
