村居遣兴

长巾阔领[1]深村住，

不识我唤作伧父[2]。

掩白沙翠竹柴门，

听彻[3]秋来夜雨。

闲将得失思量，

往事水流东去。

便宜教画却凌烟[4]，

甚是功名了[5]处？

[1]长巾阔领：指自己粗俗的打扮。

[2]伧父：鄙夫，粗野的农夫。

[3]彻：完，全部。

[4]凌烟：指凌烟阁，是皇帝图画功臣、表彰他们的地方。

Is it the end of glory I try to attain?
