（一）春

春山暖日和风，

栏杆楼台帘栊[2]，

杨柳秋千院中。

啼莺舞燕，

小桥流水飞红[3]。

注释：

[1]天净沙：越调常用的曲牌名，一名“塞上秋”。

[2]帘栊：窗帘。

[3]飞红：落花。

（I）Spring

The sun and gentle breeze warm hills in spring,

The curtained bower girt with balustrade.

Among the willows in the garden hangs the swing.

The swallows dance and orioles sing

On running stream under the bridge fallen reds fade.

（二）夏

云收雨过波添，

楼高水冷瓜甜，

绿树阴垂画檐。

纱厨[1]藤簟，

玉人罗扇轻缣[2]。

注释：

[1]纱厨：帐子，因为形状像厨而得名。

[2]玉人罗扇轻缣：美人手摇罗扇，身穿薄纱。

（II）Summer

Waves rise when clouds clear away with rain fleet;

By tower high water is cold and melon sweet.

Green willow leaves shade painted eaves.

On bamboo mat in curtained bed, she’s fair as jade,

In silken dress with a fan of brocade.

（三）秋

孤村落日残霞，

轻烟老树寒鸦，

一点飞鸿[1]影下。

青山绿水，

白草红叶黄花。

注释：

[1]飞鸿：大雁。

（III）Autumn

At sunset over lonely village rainbow clouds glow;

Over mist-veiled old trees flies a cold crow.

The shadow of a dot of swan in flight

Over green hills and bluish rills

Sees leaves red, flowers yellow and dewy grass white.

（四）冬

一声画角谯门[1]，

半庭新月黄昏[2]，

雪里山前水滨。

竹篱茅舍，

淡烟衰草孤村。

注释：

[1]谯门：也作“樵门”，指建有瞭望楼的城门。

[2]黄昏：指新月颜色浅黄，不太明亮。

（IV）Winter

A dreary horn blows in watch-tower on city wall;

The crescent moon sheds twilight into half the hall;

The waterside and hillside are covered with snow.

A bamboo-fenced cottage only

Stands in the village lonely,

Where with a wreath of smoke wafts a cold crow.
