关汉卿

（一）

膝上琴横，

哀愁动离情。

指下风生，

潇洒弄清音。

锁窗前月色明，

雕栏[1]外夜气清。

指法轻，

助起骚人[2]兴。

听！

玉漏[3]断，

人初静。

注释：

[1]雕栏：雕花的栏杆。

[2]骚人：诗人，指自己。

[3]玉漏：更漏，古代计时的器具。玉漏是对它的美称。

（I）

With zither on my knees,

I’m moved to think of my far-off dear.

My fingers play with ease

On zither strings a music clear.

Before my window screen the moon is bright;

Beyond the balustrade fresh is the night.

My touches light

Would make the poets’ verve freer.

O Hear!

From water clock there comes no sound;

Silence begins to reign all around.

席上尊前，

衾[1]枕奈无缘。

柳底花边，

诗曲已多年。

向人前未敢言，

自心中祷苍天。

情意坚，每日空相见。

天！

甚时节成姻眷[2]？

At the banquet, before a cup of wine,

Beside the flowers, beneath the willow,

For years I’ve sung and you’ve written verse fine.

But we’ve no chance to share the quilt and pillow.

What before others dare I say?

I can only in my heart pray.

Though our love firm remain,

Yet day by day we meet in vain.

Which day,

O Heaven, in our life

Can we be man and wife?
